The BALUT
Holy pickled duck embryos, Batman! 72.5mm tall and 44mm wide with a 35mm contact patch?! The 4.7 oz (per egg) Baluts are the latest addition to the Orangatang quiver of freestyle slide wheels. With a centerset bearing-seat implanted by divine lightning and ray spectrometry, the symmetrical design allows for maximum flexibility when rotating and flipping to promote even wear on all four wheels. Also introducing Orangatang's new Euphorethane technology: this new formula provides exceptional durability, flatspot resistance, and light-bending capabilities... ummmm yummy! The DURIAN
75mm tall with a Contact patch (width of wheel in contact with ground) of 45mm. These offset wheels are intended for grippy, hard carving and consistent, controlled slides. Double rounded lips, and a stone ground/pre-broken in surface for smooth slides out of the box. Available in 83a (purple) and now in 86a (yellow).
The IN-HEAT
75mm tall with a Contact Patch (width of wheel in contact with ground) of 56mm.
Available in 2 durometers: 80a (Orange--softest) and 83a (Purple--harder).
These wheels are intended for grippy hard carving, pumping and speed. They will slide when broken in, but they aren't freeride wheels. The In Heat features an offset design, with hard sharp edges for grip, thick lips for maintaining speed, and rippled inner walls for progressive energy return.
